Louder Isn't Clearer
The AI conversation is everywhere. But nobody's talking to you.
Holy crap. It’s April.
My last issue was October 26th. Not because I ran out of things to say, but because I had too much to say.
Then, wouldn’t you know, AI took another leap forward and life got busy. Instead of showing up for the sake of consistency, I stepped back to figure out how to make the most of our ten minutes together each week.
And if I had to guess? You’ve been doing your own version of this. Maybe you promised yourself you’d finally sit down and play with AI. “In three months,” you said. The three months came and went.
Here’s what I noticed while I was quiet. The AI conversation didn’t quiet down. It got louder. But louder isn’t clearer.
It’s the tech bros building things you don’t need to build.
It’s the doomsday headlines that have you freaked out.
It’s the utopians who say you won’t need to work at all.
None of that is useful. None of that is talking to you.
You. The experienced professional who’s had some fun with AI, maybe gotten a bit more productive. But nobody’s telling you what it actually means for you.
The people driving the AI conversation right now? They’re not talking about your future.
The hype probably has you convinced it’s time to retire.
I believe you’re standing at the starting line of the best twenty years of your life.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. You are perfectly positioned for this moment. Not despite your experience, but because of it.
This is what I’m here to do. Cut through the noise and help you figure out what AI actually means for your work, your life, and your future — and how to actually use it. One issue at a time.
I missed you guys. Let’s get back to it.
Carol 🤘
